For eighty years, Carlow Little Theatre has been at the heart of our town’s creative life. Founded in 1944 with just thirty members, the Society has grown into one of Ireland’s oldest and most enduring community theatre groups, bringing full-length productions, one-act seasons, and generations of local talent to the stage.
Just Try It captures that remarkable journey. Packed with memories, photographs, and first-hand stories, it celebrates everyone who helped shape the Little Theatre: performers, directors, crews, writers, supporters, and audiences. It’s a tribute to the people who turned a small idea into a cornerstone of Carlow’s cultural heritage.
Whether you’ve been with us for decades or are discovering us for the first time, this book is for you. Join us for an evening of stories, celebration and community spirit.
